The Film Club was brought together in frames of KinoFF festival, offering the opportunity to discover and study the context and fine points of modern films.
Cinematography is a young art, but during a century of its existence it has undergone many phases, developed its own language and become an object of study and analysis. Knowing the basics of cinematography is vital to understand modern directors and enjoy their films.
The first season of Film Club was dedicated to the history of cinematography and trademark films that formed the cinematic language and the audiovisual art process’ own essence. The second season continues the journey through history, focusing on authors’ style and national features.
The Film Club is hosted by Mihhail Komashko, presenter at Radio 4 and ETV+, who has studied film drama and history of arts at St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television.
